Solvent recovery unit – distillation and reuse of plate washout solvent

Solvent washout of flexo plates produces large volumes of dirty solvent mixed with polymer residue. Buying new solvent and disposing of the waste are both costly and have an environmental impact.

The solvent recovery unit distils dirty solvent into clean solvent for reuse in the plate washer.

Machine overview

Dirty solvent is heated by closed-circuit thermal oil until it evaporates; the solvent vapour is condensed into clean solvent and the polymer residue stays in the vessel. The machine meets Ex-d IIB T4 explosion protection. Batch volume 30 – 200 litres, capacity 15 – 40 litres/hour, recovery rate 95 %.
