Layout design and re-planning
New plant design
The layout is designed around production requirements, with a logical arrangement and coordinated infrastructure: raw material area, machine area, work-in-progress area, finished goods warehouse, forklift aisles, loading docks, and power, compressed air and steam systems.
Re-planning an operating plant
PTS advises on modifying and rearranging the layout to raise output, optimise production flow and make full use of the available floor space.

- One-way material flow from reel stock to finished goods, with minimal crossing and backtracking.
- Machines arranged in process order to shorten work-in-progress travel distances.

Depending on the agreed scope, the consulting package includes the floor layout drawing, the equipment arrangement plan and recommendations on the utilities required for installation.
