In a packaging plant, most long unplanned stops start with small faults that were not caught early: worn bearings, stretched chains, hardened feed wheels, contaminated lubricant, loose terminals. Preventive maintenance deals with these issues on a planned basis, at a time the plant chooses, instead of forcing an emergency stop in the middle of an order.
PTS Industries Co., Ltd. provides scheduled preventive maintenance for paper packaging machinery and equipment, carried out at the customer plant by appointment.

What preventive maintenance includes
1. Inspection
- Mechanical condition: drive train, gears, chains, belts, bearings, clearances and backlash of moving assemblies.
- Lubrication, pneumatic and vacuum systems.
- Electrical and control systems: cabinets, terminals, sensors and safety devices.
- Assessment of working accuracy based on actual production output.
2. Cleaning
Cleaning of machine sections and areas where paper dust, ink and glue accumulate; cleaning of electrical cabinets, air filters and oil and grease lines. This is a simple task, but it has a major effect on the life of bearings, sensors and electrical components.

3. Replacement of wear parts
Parts that are due or found worn during inspection are replaced: feed wheels, belts, bearings, seals, chains, gripper bars and others. PTS can supply suitable spare parts or fit parts provided by the customer.
4. Adjustment and performance tuning
Working settings are re-adjusted after cleaning and replacement, followed by a confirmation run. At the end of each visit PTS reports on equipment condition and recommends items to monitor or to plan for the next visit.

Equipment covered
- Corrugated board production lines.
- Flexo printing machines of all types.
- Automatic die cutters and die cutting / hot foil stamping machines.
- Automatic folder gluers, small and large format.
- Auxiliary machines: flute laminators, film laminators, stitchers, slotters, slitters, inkjet printers, inspection machines and others.
Benefits for the plant
- Fewer unplanned stops and better control of the production schedule.
- Stable accuracy and consistent product quality.
- Longer equipment life; a small part failure does not escalate into major damage.
- Predictable spare parts budget, since replacement items are known in advance.
- Regular condition assessment by a specialised packaging machinery team.
Maintenance frequency and checklist are proposed by PTS after a site survey, based on machine type, machine age and actual operating intensity at each plant.

PTS capability
The PTS technical team has more than 15 years of experience in the packaging industry. It has installed and currently looks after more than 50 flexo printers from 3 to 7 colours and more than 50 automatic folder gluers, and has installed and maintained more than 150 automatic die cutters and die cutting / hot foil stamping machines. The team combines electrical, mechanical and automation skills and is fully equipped with tools and instruments; services are covered by warranty after completion.
Service workflow
PTS follows the same six-step workflow for both turnkey packages and individual work items:
- Request intake: requirements are received by hotline, email or Zalo.
- Site survey & scope definition: machine condition is assessed and a solution is proposed.
- Quotation & agreement: a detailed quotation is issued; cost and schedule are agreed.
- Planning & approval: manpower, tools and spare parts are prepared.
- Execution: on schedule, safely and to the agreed technical requirements.
- Handover & acceptance: test run, handover and operator instruction.
Where faults found during maintenance go beyond the scheduled scope, PTS proposes a repair or upgrade and retrofit plan for the customer to decide.
